The Russian Air Force is not quite done in Syria, despite confirmed reports about their aerial assets departing from the country after a six month deployment.

Minutes ago in the Homs Governorate’s eastern countryside, the Russian Air Force struck several ISIS sites at Jabal Hayyal, Al-Sakhanah, Wadi Dhakana, and Jabal Al-Sha’ar near the strategic city of Palmyra (Tadmur).

According to a military source from the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces”, the Russian Air Force has carried out over 10 airstrikes in the Palmyra countryside today, including a half dozen in the last 2 hours.

The Russian Federation’s total number of airstrikes are likely to diminish in the coming weeks; however, it does not appear that their air force is completely pulling out from Syria.
