Twitter is exploding over a shocking claim made by a senior E.U. diplomat concerning the mental health of President Obama.
The comment was revealed by a columnist for the New York Observer Wednesday.
John Schindler, the Observer’s national security columnist, tweeted a harsh assessment of the president.
The tweet notes that one of our allies thinks that Obama is “quite mentally unwell,” and asked whether or not he could be impeached:
The wording indicates that the opinion is not that of a single person, but rather the whole government of whichever European country the diplomat is from.
The following countries make up the European Union:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
According to Schindler’s source, one of the governments of those nations considers Obama to be mentally unstable.
Schindler is a former U.S. Naval War College lecturer and is known to have many high level military and government contacts.
There has been much discussion online regarding Obama’s mental competency in the days since Russia launched it military operations in Syria, targeting not only ISIS, but also Obama-trained “rebels” believed to be affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
Meanwhile, other E.U. diplomats have shown concern at Iran’s blatant violation of the just-signed treatywith the U.S. by launching new missiles, and are reportedly stunned that the White House has had no response to the action.
As far as impeachment, Western Journalism notes:
It isn’t surprising that a foreigner might be confused over our impeachment process, though. Many Americans are also confused over the scheme. But impeachment isn’t really a strictly legal process.
The fact is, impeachment is far more a political action than it is a legal one, and there has to be a political will on the part of Congress to go into the process of impeachment to start with.
The GOP Congress under the weak-kneed leadership of Mitch McConnell and John Boehner have never had the will to take on Obama over his lawless actions. Why would they start now?
